Job Title: Food Service Head Cashier

Summary
The Cashier is responsible for processing and maintaining lunch account records. The cashier also processes and maintains records of free/reduced lunch applications for the district.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that students meals meed USDA standards for a reimbursable meal.
- Review and process lunch forms for their building and enter them online.
- Keep and separate all insurance requests for information forms, and send appropriate correspondence to parents.
- Collect and keep all Extended Eligibility forms from all buildings.
- Assist in processing all preschool forms to determine eligibility and retain copies of these forms.
- Work with the Special Services Director to identify homeless students and process forms for those students.
- Run monthly audit checks of building student/staff accounts for accuracy.
- Maintain records of donations to student lunch accounts.
- Send letters to parents of children that have exceeded the charging limit and have not responded to requests for payment.
- Process all online food service payments from reports provided by the Central Office.
- Assist with counting and recording daily deposits.
- Run daily reports for end of day tracking of meals.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in cash handling and record keeping
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Language
